Account & Progress

My progress was lost after reinstalling.

Progress is tied to your Apple ID via Sign in with Apple. Reinstall the app, sign in with the same Apple ID you used originally, and your account will be restored. If iCloud sync was enabled, your save data will sync automatically.

I can't sign in with Apple.

Make sure you haven't revoked BadSector 1911's access in your Apple ID settings. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Password & Security > Sign in with Apple and check that BadSector 1911 is listed. If access was revoked, reinstall the app and sign in again to create a fresh link.

I want to delete my account and all data.

You can delete your account from within the app. This permanently removes all server-side data associated with your identifier. If you need assistance, email us and we'll handle it within 48 hours.

Gameplay

My daemons stopped earning credits.

Daemons can be detected and shut down by corporate countermeasures when your Heat is too high. Check your Heat level - if it's above 80, daemon income is penalized and burnout risk increases. Run mundane tasks to reduce Heat, or research Heat-decay upgrades.

The game seems stuck or frozen on a run.

Force-close the app and reopen it. The game saves state between nodes, so you should be able to resume. If the issue persists on the same contract, email us the contract name and your rig tier so we can investigate.

I missed a story transmission and can't find it.

Story transmissions are stored in your Transmission Log inside the app. Scroll back through the log to find messages from KESTREL and your crew.

Research is taking much longer than expected.

Research runs in real time, including when the app is closed. The timer continues in the background. Long research topics can take up to 7 days. Crew members and certain research unlocks can reduce duration.

Technical Issues

The app crashes on launch.

Try a full restart of your device and relaunch. If it continues, delete and reinstall the app - your progress is server-backed and will restore on sign-in. Email us your device model and iOS version if the crash persists.

The game is running slowly or lagging.

Close background apps and restart BadSector 1911. The game is optimized for iOS 16 and later. If you're on an older device, reducing display brightness can help performance.

Notifications aren't working.

Check that notifications are enabled for BadSector 1911 in Settings > Notifications. The game sends alerts for daily hot contracts and offline income caps - both require notification permission.

Purchases

I was charged but didn't receive what I purchased.

All purchases are handled through Apple. Open the App Store, go to your account, and tap 'Purchase History' to verify the transaction. For refunds or missing items, contact Apple Support directly at reportaproblem.apple.com - they handle all billing.

How do I restore purchases?

Purchases restore automatically when you sign in with the same Apple ID. If something is missing, use the 'Restore Purchases' option in the app settings.

Billing issues: All payments go through Apple. For refunds or billing disputes, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We don't process payments directly and can't issue refunds on Apple's behalf.
